What’s been happening:

Since graduating with my PhD in May 2004, I stayed on for a post-doc at CISP for another year. Then I moved to Germany where I worked as Deputy Manager of Materials R&D at Bleistahl Produktions GmbH & Co. KG for 18 months. In December 2006 I returned home to South Africa and I started working as a Senior Lecturer (similar to Assistant Professor title) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering in January 2007. Still there, loving being back home and loving being back in academics!
